España gana el mundial de relaciones públicas por su gestión del hantavirus. Spain wins the public relations world championship for its handling of the hantavirus outbreak. The most influential media outlets on the planet, such as The New York Times, Corriere della Sera, Clarín, Le Figaro, Bild, the JMH International Consortium of Journalists, the WHO, and most members of the European Union, are showering the Iberian Peninsula with praise for the technical excellence of the operation to receive those affected by the deadly hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship.

Los medios de comunicación más influyentes del planeta como The New York Times, Corriere de la Sera, Clarín, Le Figaro, Bild, el Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH, la OMS, y la mayoría de los miembros de la Unión Europea se deshacen en falicitaciones a la Península Ibérica por la excelencia técnica del operativo de recibimiento a los afectados por el mortal brote de hantavirus en el crucero MV Hondius.

Entre los pasajeros había 14 españoles pero había también había pasajeros de 20 nacionalidades más y España demostró en un solo acto, valentía y solidaridad. Incluso el Papa León XIV, el titular de la OMS, Dr.Tedros Adhanom y el Secretario General de la ONU, António Guterres, se han sumado a los apoyos y reconocimientos. Como también la Presidenta de la Comisión Europea, Ursula von der Leyen con un mensaje de "agradecimiento al gobierno español y a todas las autoridades involucradas sobre el terreno".

El presidente del Consejo Europeo, António Costa, ha señalado el "excelente ejemplo de cooperación multilateral" encabezado por España, junto con la OMS, el ECDC y otros organismos sanitarios internacionales. El primer ministro de Países Bajos, Rob Jetten resaltó la gestión española "por haber hecho posible" la llegada y el tratamiento con seguridad de los pasajeros del crucero con bandera neerlandesa.

España tendrá un antes y un después de este despliegue solidario que lo coloca, una vez más, dentro de los países que hacen la diferencia.

The most influential media outlets on the planet, such as The New York Times, Corriere della Sera, Clarín, Le Figaro, Bild, the JMH International Consortium of Journalists, the WHO, and most members of the European Union, are showering the Iberian Peninsula with praise for the technical excellence of the operation to receive those affected by the deadly hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship.


Among the passengers were 14 Spaniards, but there were also passengers of 20 other nationalities, and Spain demonstrated courage and solidarity in a single act. Even Pope Leo XIV, the head of the WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, and the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, have joined in offering their support and recognition. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also sent a message of "gratitude to the Spanish government and all the authorities involved on the ground."


European Council President António Costa highlighted the "excellent example of multilateral cooperation" led by Spain, along with the WHO, the ECDC, and other international health organizations. Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten praised Spain's efforts "for making possible" the safe arrival and treatment of the passengers from the Dutch-flagged cruise ship.

Spain will be forever changed by this display of solidarity, which once again places it among the countries that make a difference.

Violence in Madrid. Two more people injured by knives.

MADRID, May 9 (International Consortium of Journalists JMH) In Madrid, the wave of knife and machete attacks seems unstoppable. Early this morning, Saturday, May 9, 2026, two young men, aged 18 and 25, are in serious condition after being stabbed in two separate incidents, one in the Usera neighborhood and the other in Carabanchel. Carabanchel: The first attack occurred in Carabanchel around 3:00 a.m. at number 31 Camino Viejo de Leganés. Emergency medical personnel from SAMUR-Civil Protection were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an 18-year-old being stabbed. Emergency teams treated a young man with a penetrating wound to his left chest and stabilized him before transporting him in serious condition to the 12 de Octubre Hospital. He is an 18-year-old foreign male, and the investigation into the incident is not ruling out any hypothesis, including the possibility of a conflict between youth gangs, according to police sources who spoke to the International Consortium ...
