Esta vez la víctima fue el actor James Handy, conocido por sus participaciones en las películas Jumanji, Top Gun y Maverick, de 81 años; que fue asesinado por el hijo de su pareja que padece esquizofrenia. ¿Quién es el detenido por el crimen?

El sospechoso es Michael Gledhill, de 44 años, hijo de la pareja sentimental del actor. Luego de cometer el asesinato llamó a la policía para confesar: "Yo soy el hijo del hombre, acabo de matar al hombre del pecado, yo lo maté, soy el hombre al que buscan".

Al llegar a la casa en la calle Erwin del distrito de Tarzana, California, los agentes de la Policía de Los Ángeles encontraron a Handy inconsciente en el jardín delantero de su residencia, con heridas de arma blanca en el pecho.

Portavoces del Departamento de Policía de Los Ángeles confirmaron al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH que habían puesto bajo arresto a Michael Gledhill, confeso autor del crimen. El atacante vivía en la casa del actor y fue acusado de asesinato. 

Wendy Gledhill, madre del hombre acusado de asesinar a su novio, el actor James Handy, hizo una breve declaración al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH donde admitió que su hijo padece esquizofrenia y en los últimos tiempos había dejado de tomar su medicación.

Según Wendy, su hijo Michael Gledhill, de 44 años, se había vuelto cada vez más paranoico y, tras su diagnóstico en julio de 2025, le habían recetado medicamentos para su afección. Sin embargo, afirma que recientemente se enteró de que había dejado de tomar su medicación aproximadamente una semana antes del ataque mortal.

Who has been arrested for the crime?

The suspect is Michael Gledhill, 44, the son of the actor's partner. After committing the murder, he called the police to confess: "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin, I killed him, I am the man you are looking for."

Upon arriving at the house on Erwin Street in the Tarzana district of California, Los Angeles Police Department officers found Handy unconscious in the front yard of his residence, with stab wounds to the chest.

Spokespeople for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the International Consortium of Journalists JMH that they had arrested Michael Gledhill, who confessed to the crime. The attacker lived in the actor's home and was charged with murder.

Wendy Gledhill, the mother of the man accused of murdering her boyfriend, actor James Handy, gave a brief statement to the International Consortium of Journalists JMH in which she admitted that her son suffers from schizophrenia and had recently stopped taking his medication.

According to Wendy, her 44-year-old son, Michael Gledhill, had become increasingly paranoid and, after his diagnosis in July 2015, had been prescribed medication for his condition. However, she claims that she recently learned that he had stopped taking his medication approximately a week before the fatal attack.
